Cuts to consider instead of advice about saving

We do not say “spend less”. We show one specific item, the reason, and the amount you get back over a year — then we get out of the way.

Four rules, nothing more

No “algorithm” guessing your habits. Every suggestion comes from one of four stated rules, and you always see which one fired.

Rule 1
Duplicate function

Two services marked with the same function — music, cloud, streaming, gym. We suggest the cheaper option, not just “delete”.

Rule 2
No usage

The “last used” field older than 90 days. You fill it in yourself, one tap during the monthly review.

Rule 3
Oversized plan

Usage below 40% of the limit you entered — cloud storage, gym visits, GB on a plan.

Rule 4
Rise above threshold

A price rise of more than 15% in a year. Worth checking whether the service is still worth it.

Example from the demo account

ItemWhyYou get back
Adobe Creative Cloudrule 2 — unused since May+1,416.00 USD
YouTube Premium → without Musicrule 1 — duplicate of Spotify+407.88 USD
iCloud+ 2 TB → 200 GBrule 3 — 17% used+479.88 USD
Total2,303.76 USD / yr
Fixed costs fall from 4 654 USD to 4 438 USD a month — from 66,5% to 63,4% of income.

What happens when you accept

  1. 01The item gets a cancellation date and leaves the monthly figure only after it — not before.
  2. 02A day ahead you get a reminder with a link to the provider panel. You click it.
  3. 03Once confirmed, the amount joins the “recovered this year” counter — cumulative, so the effect is visible.

Dismissed ones do not return

If you say “keeping it”, the suggestion is archived and will not come back — even if the rule still holds. We return to it only if the price changes.

An app that suggests the same thing every week stops being a tool and becomes a nag. We would rather show three sensible suggestions once than thirty pointless ones.
